Is training provided?Do practitioners need to have any specific skills to use the system? Do PCs/laptops need any specific requirements to use PC-MIS? What PC-MIS support is available? Will PC-MIS affect my local IT infrastructure? 1. Is training provided? Yes training can be provided either locally to you or from The University of York. Access to a demo-system and training materials is provided for local service training. Back to top 2. Do practitioner need to have any specific skills to use the system? PC-MIS was “designed by clinicians for clinicians”. It has been designed to be intuitive for the practitioner, although general user training is recommended and would initially be provided by PC-MIS. Back to top 3. Do PCs/laptops need any specific requirements to use PC-MIS? Internet Explorer 6 or higher and access via the NHS N3 network is recommended. There are no other specific requirements as most PC / laptop’s with Microsoft Windows are compatible, however, 2GB RAM and Core2Duo Processor would make the systems faster to use. Back to top 4. What PC-MIS support is available? We offer dedicated first line (telephone and email) support and second line (technical) support. Hours of support are 9.00 am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays and Public Holidays. Our IAPT clinical educators are also available to provide advice. Back to top 5. Will PC-MIS affect my local IT infrastructure? The use of PC-MIS is designed not to impose any additional demands on your local IT support.
