Teaching and learning
Our aim is to provide you with a teaching and learning environment that will encourage and support you to become an exceptional registered nurse; we want you to be able to gain a sound understanding of the key principles of nursing.
The focus is on making your learning relevant to your practice. We place a great deal of emphasis on integrating your theory and practice throughout the programme to ensure that you have a excellent grounding for your nursing career.
We will expect you to make a shift during the programme to a more self directed form of study but you will be guided and supported throughout by experienced academic staff within the Health Sciences department.
We strive to provide you with excellent facilities to aid your learning using up to the minute technology and information systems. We have excellent IT labs and a state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation Unit (CSU) and Multi-Sensory Room (MSR). Both facilities enable you to develop clinical procedures under safe and supervised conditions.
