Symposium on Men and Long Term Conditions: how can we best support men to self-manage?

Thursday 4 September 2014, 10.00AM to 3:00PM

Speaker(s): Various experts involved in the planning, delivery, organisation and research of self-management support for long term conditions.

This symposium will bring together experts involved in the planning, delivery, organisation and research of self-management support for long term conditions, as well as men with a lived experience of self-management. Findings will be disseminated from the NIHR-funded “Self-Man” project that has reviewed the published evidence on self-management support interventions to assess how effective, cost-effective, accessible and acceptable they are for men with long-term conditions.

The symposium will be of interest to commissioners, health professionals, researchers, and public and patient stakeholders. There will be no charge for this conference and refreshments will be provided.
