Work for the UK Department for International Development, the World Health Organisation, the World Bank and the European Community in countries such as Brazil, China, Malawi, South Africa, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Chile and Mexico.

Taught on World Bank Flagship course in Washington DC, Bangkok, Beirut, Budapest and Kiev.

Research Interests

Remuneration and performance management of doctors, regulation of the pharmaceutical industry, health care reform and evidence based policy, both nationally and internationally, the regulation of the market for addictive substances (especially illicit drugs, alcohol and tobacco).
