Full-time programmes

If you wish to apply for any of our postgraduate MSc, MPH, MPhil or PhD programmes you can apply online.

For part-time masters programmes the on-line application process must be completed and the Funding Details Form (PDF , 53kb) submitted directly to the department using the address on the form.

For free-standing modules you will need to submit the Postgraduate application form (PDF , 198kb)

Take note of any application deadline listed for each studentship. If there is no deadline stated, then please apply as soon as possible.
Make sure you are eligible to undertake a PhD at the University of York and eligible for the studentship. If you are a non-EU overseas applicant you may not be eligible, or you may need to pay the difference between home/EU fee rates and overseas fee rates. We require a minimum IELTS score of 7.0.

On your application form, be sure to name the studentship you are applying for, including the project title and supervisor. Where asked to outline your proposed research, please describe how you might approach the research project and outline your relevant experience and training.
