These problems range from difficulties accessing services through to problems with the treatment received within these services. Our courses are aimed not only at people working in specialist learning disability service provision but at any practitioner who encounters people with a learning disability using their service including staff working in GP surgeries, outpatients departments, hospital wards and community settings.
Our module provision includes : Communication Needs of People with a Learning Disability, Working with Vulnerable People, Understanding and supporting people with Autism, Health Needs of People with a learning disability; and Understanding Challenging Behaviour.
