Kadi Tamjarv receives prestigious Extra Mile Award from the Energy Saving Trust Scotland while on placement

2015/16 saw the first cohort of Environment students embarking on the Environment Department's newly approved Year in Industry degree.  Kadi Tamjarv is currently working as a Personal Advisor at the Wise Group in Glasgow.  Her role involves giving out advice on issues such as social welfare, energy, water and travel options - helping the population of Scotland make sustainable lifestyle choices.  She has also been responsible for championing new schemes within her team of coworkers.

At an event this month that included members of the Scottish Government and the Energy Saving Trust (Scotland), Kadi was singled out as an employee that goes the extra mile - in the words of her line manager at the Wise Group:  “Kadi is an absolute pleasure to work with she is an outgoing, hardworking individual who is eager to be challenged at any time. Extremely determined, especially when it comes to her customers and doing what is right and best for them, she gets to know them personally and has built some long lasting relationships in the process, Aside from this Kadi has excellent teamwork skills and works very hard and positively to make sure we are all following the best process and customer service possible.”

When asked about how she feels about receiving such recognition Kadi told us “I feel it's a great accomplishment and I feel so proud that I am being noticed across the organisation!”

We agree with your line manager up in Glasgow Kadi - you really are one of a kind - we look forward to welcoming you back to York.
