There are a great many sources of Funding available from the obvious to the obscure. These pages should help you understand what is available, and more importantly what you need to do in order to be considered for many of these funding sources.
These pages act as a point of first contact, but there are numerous links out to other pages on the York network or to external websites. It is also important however to stress that these pages are very much under construction and will be heavily revised over the coming months, so if you are unsure of the information or need advice please contact the Research Support Office who should be your point of contact for all enquiries.
For general information on research funding, a very good first point of reference is The Funding Guide. This resource aims to help staff of the University to win more research funding, to understand the University's procedures relating to applying for grants and to the completion of contracts with research sponsors.
For information on funding for commercial project, please see our pages on Proof of Principle (POP) Awards, Innovation Vouchers and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
