Michael Frayn in conversation

Michael Frayn is one of the most distinguished of living writers.  An acclaimed playwright, novelist, translator and screenwriter, his works include the plays Noises Off, Copenhagen and Democracy and the novels Headlong, Spies and Skios. He has won many prestigious literary awards including the Hawthornden prize, the Somerset Maugham Award, the Whitbread Best Novel Award, and a Golden PEN Award for a Lifetime's Distinguished Service to Literature.

We are delighted to welcome him to York,  where he will be in conversation with Professor John Bowen.
