Publications for first teaching from September2015

We are pleased to announce that we are now working with Oxford University Press to produce a comprehensive range of teaching and learning support materials for first teaching from September 2015.

The student books integrate the contexts (storylines) with the relevant chemical theory (Chemical Ideas). A sample is available to view.

Student materials consist of A-level book (covering the two-year course) year 1/AS book and a year 2 book).

 ‌‌

Each year there are five chemical storylines allowing students to access the content of this spiral curriculum. In addition there are exam style questions and module summaries.  Throughout the book each topic has ramped questions and clearly identified extension materials.

Kerboodle provides electronic support for students and teachers including access to electronic versions of all of the books mentioned above.  This includes questions and quizzes reflecting maths and practical requirements.  There is also support through auto-mark quizzes, checkpoint assessments, revision materials and checklists.  There is full support with math skills and calculation sheets.  Teacher and technician support is provided in the form of teacher guides, including practical work and activities with accompanying teacher guidance, as well as teacher digests for considering pegagogy for some of the more challenging topics.
