Welcome to the graduate programme. We offer an exciting range of full-time and part-time programmes and look forward to you joining us at York.

We pride ourselves in being a warm and friendly department, where you will receive plenty of support for your study and opportunities for you to mix with fellow students and members of staff. All our students are allocated a personal supervisor who guides your progress throughout your studies.

The Department has an excellent reputation for its teaching and research (see more about the Department). Our staff are experienced teachers, with a wide range of research interests and expertise. We are proud of the very positive evaluations our programmes receive from students.

All our Masters programmes have core and options modules, making them flexible. Individuals are encouraged to work with their supervisors in planning a path through their programme which best caters for their academic interests.

Most of our full-time programmes are taken by international students from all over the world, who are able to bring with them their different experiences of education to share with each other on these programmes. We have particularly strong links with the Far East. Most of our part-time programmes are taken by teachers and other education professionals based in the UK.
