To register for the conference please complete the registration form (Word, pdf) and send it as an email attachment to the local organisers at corpusworkshop2009@events.york.ac.uk by Friday 30 October 2009. There is no registration fee for members of the Philological Society; fees will be waived for individuals who join the Society on the day. The membership application form is available from www.philsoc.org.uk/membership.asp. Membership subscription is £10pa, or £10 for five years for student associate members. For non–members, the fees are £5 for staff, £2 for students. Please pay in cash at the conference registration. Fees include lunch and tea but not dinner.
The Society intends to offer some travel grants to enable students to attend this event. If you would like to apply for funding, please contact the Hon. Treasurer, Dr Philip Durkin, by email to treasurer@philsoc.org.uk by Saturday 24 October 2009; ask your supervisor to write to him in support of your application.
You may be able to obtain accommodation on the university campus, which is the nearest possible option to conference venue, via the York Accommodations Office. Alternatively, a recommended and inexpensive guesthouse in central York, on the direct bus route to campus, is The Bar Convent. Other accommodation options in central York can be found here.
