Service Specifications
Standard Coffee and Tea Services
Our standard beverage services are provided on a self-service basis and include the provision of:
- Insulated flasks of filter coffee
- Insulated flasks of hot water / tea
- A selection of speciality tea sachets; decaffeinated coffee sachets; Fair Trade coffee and tea sachets
- Sugars; milk
- China crockery mugs*; teaspoons (if you require cups & saucers, please contact the helpdesk for a quote.)
- Table covering
Our 'with biscuits' tariff includes the provision of 2 biscuits per person.
*Applies to function rooms only. In meeting rooms, offices or other areas we will deliver disposables. If you require crockery please contact the Help Desk.
Sandwich Platters, Finger Buffets and Fork Buffet Selections
Our sandwich and buffet selections are provided on a self-service basis and include the provision of:
- Table covering
- Paper napkins
- China crockery*
- Cutlery (where aappropriate)
- Service equipment (where appropriate)
- Condiments and accompaniments
- Menu
*Applies to function rooms only. In meeting rooms, offices or other areas we will deliver disposables. If you require crockery please contact the Help Desk.
Beverages, Sandwiches and Buffets - Delivery and Collection
- Our delivery assistant will check your order and set out your refreshments discreetly and with minimum disruption to your meeting. If, due to confidentiality, you do not require this service please advise us accordingly when making your booking
- Our tariffs include delivery within your preferred 15-minute time band. However during peak mid morning and lunchtime delivery periods you are advised that your order may be delivered up to ½ hour early
- We will endeavour to collect all crockery etc and left over refreshments within your preferred 15-minute time band
- If due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to meet our delivery or collection obligations we will endeavour to inform you in advance of any changes to service provision
- To maintain the quality of your order, all high-risk food deliveries to non-college buildings are temperature monitored and delivered via our refrigerated vehicle
- In the interests of food safety we advise that all sandwiches and buffets be consumed soon after delivery and that any left over food be disposed immediately after your event
Knife and Fork Buffet**, Hot Lunch and Supper Menus
- The buffet table / service table for hot food will be clothed (linen table cover)
- Cold buffet dishes will be set out in time for your arrival
- Hot lunch and supper dishes will be set out in time for service
- All service utensils will be provided
- Tables will be clothed with linen table covers and will be set with the appropriate cutlery and glassware. Linen napkins will be provided
- A printed menu will be provided
- If ordered, white wine will be provided chilled; red wine will be provided at room temperature
- Knife and Fork Buffets and Hot Lunch and Supper Menus are provided on a self-service basis. However if you require service assistance, a waiter / waitress can be provided at an additional charge. Please indicate this requirement on your booking form, in the comments box, and a member of our Cucina team will contact you to inform you of the appropriate charge.
**If your knife and fork buffet is in a meeting room, office or other area please contact the Help Desk to discuss service specification.
Formal Dinner Menus
- Tables will be clothed with linen table covers and will be set with the appropriate cutlery and glassware. Linen napkins will be provided
- Printed menus and floral table decorations will be provided
- Jugs of iced water will be provided as standard unless bottled mineral water has been ordered
- If ordered, white wine will be provided chilled; red wine will be provided at room temperature
- Waiting staff will be provided to service the meal
Drinks Receptions
- Service tables will be clothed with linen table covers
- Wine glasses will be provided
- If you require waiting staff please contact the Help Desk
- If ordered, white wine will be provided chilled; red wine will be provided at room temperature
- Appropriate glassware will be provided
