Accommodation

Unfortunately, we are not able to organise accommodation for delegates. Individuals attending the conference will need to make their own arrangements. The following information may be helpful.

The easiest way to book accommodation for CAA UK is through the York Tourism Bureau's accommodation booking service (and click on the CAA UK logo). You can specify the kind of accommodation and price bracket you would like and they will find you a B&B or hotel within a reasonable distance from the conference venue. Please contact them by Friday 4th January to give them time to make arrangements for you.

If you would rather book your own accommodation, 23 St Mary's is a good bed and breakfast which is close to King's Manor - prices range from £40-50 for a single room. As there are only a small number of rooms do book early to avoid disappointment.

A handy list of guest houses in York is available here.

For those on a tighter budget, cheaper accommodation is available from the following hostels and youth hotels:

York Backpackers Hostel is centrally located but on a busy street, so lively in the evening. Good for staggering back from the pub/nightclub. About 5 mins from the station and 10 from King's Manor. Prices start from £14-15 a night or £19 for a double, but there are also good group rates available.

York Youth Hotel, is centrally located but on a side street, so a bit quieter. About 5 mins from the station and 10 from King's Manor. Prices start from £14 with a good range of other options available.

York Youth Hostel Association is by the river and slightly out of the town centre, a taxi drive from the station and about 20 mins walk from King's Manor, but nice and quiet.
