A former York Minster chorister, Tim Lowe is now enjoying huge success as a solo cellist after studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he is a fellow and tutor. With James Baillieu, he has given concerts at major venues around the country, supported by awards from the Kirkman Concert Society and the Tillett Trust. He will give his first solo Wigmore Hall recital on 17 February 2012, accompanied by James Baillieu in a programme of Saint-Saens, Beethoven and Brahms. South African pianist James Baillieu is fast establishing himself as the leading accompanist of his generation, working with instrumentalists and singers in the UK and Europe.
