The 24, a vocal group comprising mainly postgraduate singers, offers a selection of works ranging from medieval chant to Renaissance polyphony to world premieres. Four recent (or brand-new) works by York composers will each be placed in a 'set' of older compositions chosen by the composers themselves: the present informs the past, as the past informs the present.
