Policies and procedures

A number of policies have been produced to give guidance to web authors. These cover legal issues where we have to adhere to certain standards, but also covers internal policies such as visual presentation.

Each Departmental Web Officer (DWO) is responsible for implementing University policy on their department's web pages, and is the first point of contact for any queries. Managing Departmental Websites (PDF , 17kb) gives further information about the role of a DWO.

Regulations on the use of computing facilities

Internet use at York is subject to University regulations, the JANET Acceptable Use policy, and applicable British law. The following documents explain the University regulations:

 

 

Who does what?
