The e-Accessibility Forum consists of a group of staff and students with responsibility for overseeing the online provision of resources and accessibility aspects of staff and student welfare.
The aim of the Forum is to help ensure that online provision of resources (for teaching/learning, research, administration and knowledge transfer) is accessible by students and staff with disabilities; meeting the University's Disability Discrimination Act statutory obligations.
The Forum does this by:
- Assessing the current levels of e-accessibility by those with a disability
- Identifying problem areas and seeking solutions
- Developing proposals (eg. policy, investment in resources) to improve accessibility
- Providing a summary report to service directors and an annual report to SIPIG
The Forum meets once every two months and reports annually to SIPIG.
