Vanbrugh Staff Room: Senior Common Room (SCR)
All staff members, especially those working within Vanbrugh College and its associated departments (History, History of Art, Language and Linguistics, CELT, CREMS, Music and Philosophy), are invited to become members of the Vanbrugh Senior Common Room. This is both a body of staff who gather together for networking and social activities, and a physical space that can be booked for meetings and private events.
Vanbrugh Senior Common Room is a large open room with comfortable seating overlooking the lake, and a small kitchen attached. It is open to all staff and SCR members throughout the day during term time. Staff can use the room as a social space as well as somewhere to meet with other staff members.
Membership is open to any member of staff at the University, academic or non-academic, and retired members of the University, alumni, or members of the public who have strong links with the University, are welcome to join as Associated Members. There is currently no Senior Common Room membership subscription.
A range of social events are organised throughout the academic year, and payment is taken individually for each.
