Events

The College regularly organises special functions or activities, such as:

  • A Freshers' Ball, in the first week of the first Term
  • A Christmas Ball and Dinner
  • A Summer Ball in the Summer Term
  • The Langwith Exhibitions - termly exhibitions by local artists
  • The Langwith Lecture: an open lecture given by a distinguished speaker

Other College events include the annual Scott Awards to encourage and reward creative and artistic work of all kinds, and the termly Langwith Lollops (a gentle stroll somewhere in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside).

College organisations

The College Council and the Common Rooms are always ready to encourage or facilitate other ventures originating within the College.

There is ample scope for initiative in supplementing the activities of University societies, ranging from the arts to sport, and in general debates and discussion.
