Role of the college administrator

The James College administrator provides administrative assistance to college provost and facilities manager, acts as first point of contact for college enquiries, and serves College Council and other committees. The College administrator is available to discuss concerns of residents as part of the College Welfare Team.

The administrator is responsible for student data and liaison.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain the College office and student records and liaise with accommodation, finance and academic departments.
  2. Act as a member of the welfare team and as the central College repository of data concerning welfare interventions and disciplinary action, disseminating appropriate data to the appropriate personnel.
  3. Issue or raise invoices for replacement key cards, bedding bales, damaged property, etc, and remit payments to the Cash Office.
  4. Generate and distribute the agenda and minutes of College Council, staff meetings and related correspondence.
  5. Circulate details of James College events to members.
  6. Arrange bookings of the JCR and handle deposits.
  7. Deal with general enquires, both internal and external.
