How you can help
College life is one of the things that makes the University of York the very special place that it is. Colleges, for many students, form the hub of their life at York, especially in their first year. It's a place where lifelong friendships develop.
Alumni have told us that they'd like to give directly to their College in order to help build on those things that make York special:
- College Facilities - to meet changing needs of colleges including enhancing JCR facilities, sports equipment to support the lively college sports scene, etc
- Provost's Discretionary Grants - to meet the needs of individual students, especially in an emergency.
- Student Activities and Personal Development Grants - creating opportunities for college members, through the JCR, volunteering initiatives in the community and overseas travel.
You can now donate online to the Halifax College Fund and help support the continuing work and life of your College.
