Facilities Reception Staff

From October 2012, Goodricke College will have three new Facilities Reception Assistants.  Graham, Dana and Anu will be located in the Goodricke Nucleus, opposite the College Administrators Office.  They will be on hand to support residents every night from 10pm through to 6:30am.

Goodricke Housekeeping and Maintenance

Should you have a cleaning, maintenance or ongoing unresolved issue regarding your flat, house or court, please contact Tom Price (Contracts Manager) at Goodricke Housekeeping and Maintenance on 325101 (internal no.) or report it to their office in the Goodricke Nucleus (Room GNU/007).

Residents are reminded that they should contact Goodricke Housekeeping if they need more bin bags for their flat kitchen.

Facilities Management (Goodricke Nucleus)

Keith Arnold is Facilities Manager for the academic departments and Ron Cooke Hub on Heslington East. He is also responsible for the facilities and cleaning within the Goodricke Nucleus.

Porters and reception staff

Porters provide 24-hour cover at the Ron Cooke Hub Reception desk . They can help with a range of immediate difficulties such as lost keys, maintenance problems and general security. If they can't help, they will refer you to someone who can. Porters are a first point of contact for out-of-hours emergenices, and are first aid trained.

In addition, porters hold parcels for your collection (from the Reception Desk) and ensure that buildings are secure. If there is anything you wish to report, they hold an incident and accident book at Reception and also have a maintenance book so you can notify failure of equipment. 

The porters can be contacted in person at the Ron Cooke Hub Reception, by phone on 01904 325100 or by email: admn695@york.ac.uk. There is also an emergency phone available in the Goodricke College Nucleus. This connects directly to the University's central security office, which will be able to locate the nearest porter or provide assistance directly.
