You may want to have a look at the web pages for the Junior Common Room (for undergraduates) or General Common Room (for graduates). There is also a College Facebook Group you may wish to join.
We now have around 600 students living in the College. This naturally presents some challenges with everyone arriving at once, so each year we try to help manage the weekend, help you to get settled in more quickly and have the earliest opportunity to become involved in the life of the College.
Accommodation at Goodricke College is not available before your specified arrival date/time in October 2012. Please do not arrive early because your room will not be available.

When you arrive, there will be people in College to greet you and to make you feel welcome. You'll meet the key staff: the Provost, Administrator, Dean and your College Tutors.
This is a self-catered college and you are therefore recommended to bring sufficient amounts of essential items (e.g. bread, milk, cereal) to last you over the Arrivals Weekend. Unless you have pre-ordered bedding, you will need to bring this with you.
Bedding packs are available to pre-order by EU & International students only.
If you have been allocated a studio room, please check with the College Administrator whether you have a double or twin-bedded room. There are only a limited number of the former available.
If your allocated arrival slot is not convenient for you, please contact our College Administrator (tel: (01904) 325113 or e-mail sarah.hay@york.ac.uk so that we know to expect you at a different time.
If you are arriving by car, you'll need some time to register, collect your keys, unload your vehicle and transfer your possessions to your room. You will be directed to the car park by a member of the Security Team. Our Second and Third Year Contacts (STYCs) will help you with your luggage to your room. Small trolleys are available. You will be charged a £10 deposit if you wish to use a trolley.
Please be aware that the car parking is limited and the College will be unusually busy during Arrivals Weekend. We ask that residents and their families vacate the car park as quickly as possible so that all residents are able to move into their rooms without excessive delay.
See our Getting to Goodricke page for more detailed instructions on how to get to Goodricke College.
