Heslington East Campus Development

Goodricke College was built as part of Phase 1 of the Heslington East Campus Development.  Our buildings and facilities were fully functioning from October 2009.  At the start of the following academic year (2010/11), the Department of Computer Science, York Law School, York Management School and Department of Theatre, Film and Television, moved into their respective buildings.  In November 2010, the Ron Cooke Hub and Catalyst Building were opened.  As a result, the area immediately surrounding Goodricke college is now a fully functioning campus.

Phase 2 of the Campus development (east of Goodricke College) has now begun.  This includes projects such as the construction of the new Langwith College, a Sports Village and a Biomass CHP Boiler.

We are confident that residents of Goodricke College will not be disrupted by the ongoing construction work. You can keep up to date with progress by checking the Campus Development pages.
