Kenneth Dixon, recognisable by its subtle yellow colour, is the second largest residential courtyard and has almost two hundred students living in its rooms along with one resident College Tutor. The Court is named after Ken Dixon, chair of University Council from 1990 to 2001 and a major donor and friend to the University. Ken was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University in 1993.
The Court is divided into flats with two separate entrances. Each flat contains between six and twelve study bedrooms. There are also eight houses and twenty studio flats.
Kenneth Dixon Court houses both undergraduate and postgraduate students. There is a designated flat for mature students and one flat for female students only. In this block, the lets for both postgraduate and undergraduate students are for 51 weeks.
The studio flats are each for two people, one of whom must be a student at the University. They are 25 square metres in size and have an en-suite shower and toilet. One double bed is provided (2 single beds are available on request). The cooking area is within the studio room.
Kenneth Dixon Court is next to the nucleus building, where you will find a porters' reception area, the College Provost, the College Administrator, the Facilities Manager, the common rooms, and the laundry.
