The Derwent Bar and Dining Hall underwent a major refurbishment in Summer 2010. Costa@Derwent serves coffee, sandwiches and snacks during the day. The Dining Hall is open Monday to Friday to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Derwent Bar has soft seating, as well as a pool table and darts board, and is a wifi hotspot to encourage group work as well as socialising. The projector TV in the Dining Hall is used to screen major sporting events. The bar is open 7 evenings a week with late licences for major JCR events like Club D.
The refurbishment included the creation of a new Derwent Terrace outside the Bar, which connects with the Garden for Ron created by the College in the quadrangle outside A block.
