Colleges exist to support the academic and social life of their members. All college facilities are for the use of both resident and non-resident members of the college.
Derwent benefits from the nucleus of social and academic spaces at the centre of the residential blocks, and its parkland setting at the heart of the Heslington campus.
The Derwent nucleus provides a flexible set of social spaces for staff and students including Costa@Derwent Café, Derwent Bar, Derwent Dining Hall, Junior Common Room and Senior Common Room, a space shared by staff and postgraduates.
The nucleus contains two Computer Rooms with networked printers and the College Reading Room. In addition the College social spaces are wifi hotspots so you can set down your laptop and study where you like.
I love you Derwent...
