Hear from international authors, debate topical issues with leading experts, take part in a range of masterclasses, connect with fellow alumni, students and academic colleagues, or just relax at informal social events at the Annual Alumni Weekend. The 2012 programme is designed with flexibility in mind, so that you can tailor the weekend’s activities to suit your own schedule in York.
Chancellor Greg Dyke will be hosting the weekend, and you will be joined by other well-known alumni, including author Anthony Horowitz, political commentator Steve Richards, media executive Denise O’Donoghue, and Chief Operating Officer of the BBC, Caroline Thomson.
The Students’ Union will lead campus tours and the student media will be actively involved (YSTV and URY are broadcasting live during the gala dinner), and departments and colleges also feature in the programme, so don’t miss out!
Book your place now at www.YorkSpace.net/reunion or if you have any queries contact Nik Miller via firstname.lastname@example.org. It’s also Race Weekend and the 2012 York Festival of Ideas in York, so book your accommodation now, campus accommodation is fully booked but we have reserved a range of rooms across the city for alumni to take advantage of – visit http://www.YorkSpace.net/eventsacc for details.
York Alumni Association (YAA) would be pleased to hear from alumni who are keen to help plan and promote the weekend, or if you have photographs, stories or memorabilia from the weekend’s focus years. The YAA can also put you in touch with fellow alumni, if you would like to coordinate a reunion during the weekend based on graduating year, college or department.
