The wellbeing of our students is a high priority for the Provost and our welfare team. We provide support to you 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, every week. Postgraduate tutors live amongst the students in study bedrooms in the College. The Provost and Dean live on campus, a short walk from the College.
During normal working hours (9am to 5pm) the University support services are open and members of the Welfare Team are doing our day jobs, sometimes within the College, sometimes elsewhere on or off campus.
Outside normal working hours we are your first point of contact for help - whatever help you need - and we see most types of request. We can always be contacted via the College Administrator or the College Porters if you need us and you will be given our contact details when you join the College. Our Welfare Team is trained to support you and to enable you to get professional help where necessary in the most effective way. You are not alone in Alcuin unless you want to be.
All support offered is completely confidential if you want it to be and we have male and female Team members you can talk to, whatever you prefer. We are all very warm and welcoming people.
