To a large extent life at University and in the College is what you make it. We provide you with a room to live in, a kitchen to eat and socialise in, communal facilities such as cafe-bars, common rooms, computer rooms, open spaces and so on. We want you to use these spaces to gain the most you can from your time here and will support you in everything that is legal, ethical and considerate to others around you and to the University facilities. Now it is up to you.
In College you will meet people who will be enduring friends. You will be able to try new sports, new activities and new hobbies that can be quite expensive in later life, while at University they are all easily accessible and do not cost very much.
The College is on the northern edge of campus but is still within 10-15 minutes walk from anywhere else on campus. The Library is almost next door so there's no real excuse for not doing some private study.
On the social side, the Common Room Committees organise activities throughout the academic year that you will be invited to. On warmer days why not get some friends together and have a barbeque? Our grounds are grassed and landscaped to make them appealing for just sitting out, perhaps reading a book or listening to music.
