Divided into three ‘houses’ with separate entrances: E1, E2 and E3. Each house contains 16 study bedrooms. On the ground floor of each house is a communal kitchen, plus 4 study bedrooms, and on the first and the second floors there are six study bedrooms.
E block is the nearest to the College Reception and to the College Bar, B.Henry’s. There are cycle storage sheds nearby, with access gained using the block keycard.
Sixteen students share one kitchen, containing:
- fridge and freezer space to accommodate 16 students
- two ovens, two hobs
- two sinks
- two kettles, microwaves, two toasters,
- table and chairs to accommodate 16 students
- wall and base kitchen cupboards sufficient for one per person
- vacuum cleaner, sweeping brush, dustpan & brush, mop & bucket
- black bin bags
- ironing board and iron
The kitchen contains recycling receptacles for glass, cans, plastic, paper and cardboard – residents are responsible for emptying the contents into the outside recycling bins on a regular basis.
The kitchens are cleaned once a week.
The en-suite facility only is cleaned once a month – see the Cleaning Service Level Agreement (UPP) in the Resident's Handbook for details.

The en-suite facility in block E includes a bath with a shower above (with the exception of two ground floor rooms modified for a person with a disability), toilet, wash-handbasin, toilet roll holder, mirror, wall cabinet. Please note that toilet paper is not provided.
Long beds are not available in this block.
There are gripper rails in each study bedroom to push posters up into. Please don't fix anything to any other painted surface.
The storage locker at the top of the wardrobe is secured with a small key, issued on arrival. A replacement charge of £10 is made for lost keys or for keys that are not handed in at the end of the academic year.
