Our research topic is nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, mostly solid-state NMR. In solid-state NMR, our main activities are in the area of magic-angle spinning (MAS) NMR. MAS NMR is usually carried out using powder samples, either crystalline or non-crystalline materials. MAS NMR yields high spectral resolution and often permits to obtain structural information almost as if one would be carrying out NMR experiments on oriented single crystals - but on samples far more readily available than sizeable, good-quality single crystals usually are.
We are interested in the MAS NMR technique itself as well as in applications to a wide range of solid materials. Our work involves MAS NMR experiments in conjunction with numerical simulations.
