Courses Available

The University of York offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Chemistry.

Undergraduate

At the undergraduate level, both three- and four-year courses are available.  In addition to the core chemistry, a wide variety of optional modules is taught.  For the four-year masters courses, the final year can be spent at the University of York, in Industry or a an overseas university.

Postgraduate

A number of specialist postgraduate taught courses are offered. These typically last 12 months and lead to MSc and MRes qualifications. Full-time higher degrees in research can be undertaken over one, two or three years leading to MSc, MPhil and PhD qualifications, respectively.
