Courses for Members of the Public

Non-native speakers living in the York area are welcome to enrol on any of our Termtime General English courses . These are available at intermediate level and above and offer the opportunity to improve your language skills in a friendly, supportive but purposeful environment. Cambridge ESOL examination courses meet for four hours a week at times convenient for a working schedule (4:15 or 6:15 PM). We hold courses at First Certificate, CAE and Proficiency levels.

Term Dates
The programme runs over three terms, although students may enrol at the start of any term.
Term 1 Weeks 3-10 (24 October - 16 December)
Term 2 Weeks 3-10 (23 January - 16 March)
Term 3 Weeks 1-8 (23 April - 15 June)

Registration for the Spring term
This will take place during office hours on the following dates:
Week 1 10-12 January
Week 2 17-19 January
