Before you go Cape Verde Entry Requirements All nationals require a full passport valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the intended date of departure from Cape Verde. All nationals require a visa to enter Cape Verde, which can be obtained at any Cape Verde Consulate or at arrival at a cost of approximately 45 Euros per person, payable locally to the airport authorities. There are Cape Verde Consulate representations in the major European cities and in the US.
Flying is the best option for getting to and from Cape Verde. Cape Verde Airlines (TACV) is the national carrier and offers flights from several European cities including Munich, Paris, Lisbon and Amsterdam. It also operates a regular service from Boston, Dakar and Fortaleza. There is daily service with TAP-Air Portugal between Lisbon and Sal, from where it is possible to connect with the other islands. TACV
operates a network of domestic flights between most islands. Between
Praia, Mindelo and Sal there are flights at least once daily. Private
charters are available from Cape Verde Express
air-taxi service.
