New Marie Curie Network in York

Professor Neil Bruce (CNAP, Biology)and Dr Gideon Grogan (YSBL, Chemistry) have been awarded a Marie Curie Network Project P4FIFTY - FP7 PEOPLE- ITN 2011-289217, Development of Cytochrome P450 Enzymes for the Chemical Manufacturing Industries.

P4fifty logoA P4FIFTY Mini-Symposium: P450s - Discovery, Structure, Mechanism and Application and Kick-Off Meeting, was held in Department of Biology, University of York, Wed/Thurs, 12/13 September 2012.

The Network will be coordinated from York and will involve collaborator Universities in Germany, France, Denmark and the Netherlands, as well as industrial partners. The project, which combines chemists, biologists and biochemical engineers, will focus on the development of cytochromes P450 as industrial biocatalysts for green oxidation chemistry.
