As part of the cohort of Professors appointed to mark the 50th Anniversary of the University in 2013, we will be welcoming Michael Brockhurst (evolutionary biologist from the University of Liverpool), Peter McGlynn (DNA replication biologist from the University of Aberdeen) and, as a joint appointment with Physics, Mark Leake (single molecule biophysicist from the University of Oxford). In addition, Maggie Smith (microbiologist from the University of Aberdeen) has also been appointed to a Chair in the Department and will join us later in the year.
New lectureship appointments include Colin Beale (ecologist, Aberdeen), Kanchon Dasmahapatra(evolutionary biologist, UCL), Michael Plevin (NMR spectroscopist, CNRS Grenoble) and Pegine Walrad(pathogen biologist, Edinburgh).
