Bicycles & Cycling

• Cycle storage is available at various locations round the Department (Biology is zone 4)  
• Access to the bike sheds between H block and Q block can be arranged by Biology Reception
• Bikes should not be attached to any railings near the main entrance to the Department as this blocks the access for disabled persons and delivery trolleys.  

There have been occasions when cyclists inadvertently lock bikes together and so to identify cycle owners easily, a cycle tag scheme is in operation in the Department.

If all bike owners take part it ensures the scheme is useful so please print off and fill in the Cycle tag scheme form (MS Word , 49kb) and take to Biology Reception.  They will then issue you with a numbered cycle tag that should be attached to your bike. 

If you find your bike has been locked to another, contact Biology Reception (8500) or the Infrastructure Team

Showers are also available in the Department for staff use
