Contract Work

I am available to undertake contract archaeobotanical work on material from sites anywhere in the British Isles and NW Europe. As these extensive lists of published and unpublished reports shows, I produce well-written reports on evaluations, assessments or detailed analyses of all kinds of plant macrofossils, preserved by any mechanism, and including fruits/seeds of all kinds, moss, wood charcoal and waterlogged timber.

I am experienced in work on both archaeological occupation deposits and 'natural' sediments and can deal with material from any period from the beginning of the Quaternary. I can also undertake forensic work involving macroscopic plant material such as stomach contents. Please contact me to discuss projects for which my services may be useful!
