Aims

  • this module reviews the range of data that can be recovered from archaeological animal bone assemblages and published case studies showing the extraction of information from those data

Learning Outcomes

In this course, the successful student should:   

  • gain experience in data analysis procedures widely used in zooarchaeology
  • learn the potential and limitations of those procedures
  • review published studies that show information recovery from zooarchaeological data
  • be introduced to zooarchaeological work from all parts of the world
