Yorkshire Archaeology Postgraduate Group
is an annual conference by and for graduate students. It alternates between the universities of Sheffield, York and Bradford, and this year Sheffield will host the conference.
We welcome all Yorkshire area postgrads to come and participate, eitherthrough presenting research, to network, or to show support for their fellow students.This year’s conference will be held on Friday, 25 March in the Humanities Research Institute, 34 Gell Street, Sheffield S3 7QY. For those who wish to join us, we’re planning a post-conference dinner at The Red Deer
, a pub known for its long association with the university archaeology department. Menus are available with traditional pub food and vegetarian options.
Registration is free. However, if you plan to attend, we do need to hear from you in advance in order to plan for refreshments.
Call For Papers
*Deadline for abstracts is 4 March 2011.*
Abstracts of around 200 words are invited for presentations (15 mins) followed by discussion and feedback (5 mins). YAPG is the perfect opportunity to hone a presentation for an upcoming conference, viva, or upgrade interview. Papers are presented in a relaxed yet professional environment among peers.
