Postgraduates Who Teach (PGWT)
At the University of York we take your development both as researchers and postgraduates who teach (PGWT) very seriously:
- in the last two years 12 PGWTs have been awarded VC Teaching Awards
- the Researcher Development Team was awarded a VC Teaching Award for support for PGWT in 2010
- the PRES results 2011 reveal that 68% of respondents feel that they have been given ‘adequate support and guidance for my teaching’. This is 17% above all the national sector responses making York one of the best places to develop your teaching skills.
To enable you to develop confidence and expertise in facilitating student learning in an international research environment we provide a rich portfolio of training and support.
