MyView: a new online service for staff

You can view and update the personal data held by HR and Payroll using the MyView web pages.

What can I view on MyView?

Personal data: title, forenames and surname
Address: home address, alternative contact address, contact numbers and email address
Bank account details: Sort code and account number (only last four digits shown)
Emergency contact details
Equal opportunities information: gender, ethnicity and disability

You will also be able to view copies of your payslip and P60 certificate.

Updating your personal details

All the details above can be updated in MyView, except for your bank account details. If you need to change your bank account details, you can do this by contacting Payroll directly. You can find a form for this purpose attached to your payslip.

Keeping your details secure

The introduction of MyView means it is more important than ever to keep your network password secure. Remember not to share your password with others and to change it regularly. There are other ways to share access to data and email: please contact the IT Services for advice.

Accessing MyView away from campus

If you are not on campus you will need to use the University's virtual private network (VPN) to access MyView. Instructions on how to use the VPN can be found on the Computing Service's web pages at http://www.york.ac.uk/it-services/connect/vpn/.
