Energy and environment - energy management
The Estates energy and environment section is responsible for the University’s energy management and energy efficiency.
The section makes a significant contribution to the development of the University’s Energy Management Strategy which is being developed in line with the new Heslington East Campus.
The Section works closely with the Estates Works Management Section to ensure that the Universities Building Mnagement System (BMS) being operated effectively and efficiently. The section undertakes energy conservation projects, investment opportunities and the practical actions designed to support efficient energy usage.
The sectionr liaises closely with Campus Services to ensure that the management of waste is effectively managed in relation to waste streams, so that a comprehensive suite of environmental management reports can be developed
