Planned Maintenance / Asset scheduling and development: Works to identify Estates assets including bar coding is being undertaken in phases by the Maintenance and Repair Section. The collected data is being input into PLANON Inventory Management module and PPM scheduling will be developed in order to achieve the Service Levels required.
Central space record : Data is held on the PLANON central space database. All University space is linked to AutoCAD Space Record Plans which are available on request. Further development of the PLANON system includes web functionality to enable reporting on data required for TRAC and other HEFCE returns
Building Manuals and Health and Safety Files: Document Management processes are being developed to provide methods of storage and access to data that is required on a regular basis by all staff within DOFM. Understandably this is a huge task given the amount and diversity of the existing material. The process has been initiated by concentrating on Statutory Requirements, notably FIre Safety, and is being taken forward by using Wentworth College as a prototype property containing academic, support, and residential use of space.
