Rory Dalgliesh is a Methodist minister, and part of a team of full-time chaplains to the university from various church traditions.
He is available to anyone on campus who wishes to talk through any area of life or faith. Rory is a member of the Harrassment Committee and the Mental Health Working Group within the university. He is a Methodist Inter-Faith Officer.
Rory is a skilled listener, and lover of good coffee and cake.
He has a Bachelor of Theology degree from the University of South Africa, and very varied experience of ministry and work in the UK and South Africa. He has extensive counselling experience.
When he isn’t being a chaplain, Rory is Methodist minister to St Paul’s, Heslington, an ecumenical church just off campus.
He is a husband, father to two small children, kayaker and kayaking instructor, woodworker, mountain climber and wanderer.
