Terms of reference

1. To recommend to Court and Council the names of persons who might be invited to fill Council-appointed vacancies on the Court and vacancies to be filled by co-option to the Court and Council.
2. To recommend to Council each year the names of persons who might be invited to fill Council-appointed vacancies on University committees.
3. To consider other issues relating to the membership of committees of Council and to make recommendations to Council on such issues.
4. To submit nominations for approval by the Council for the award of Honorary Degrees and additional non-academic honorary awards by the University.
5. To consider any other matters referred to the Committee by Council.
6. To report to the Council.
7. To consider all nominations in accordance with the University's equality and diversity policies.
