Internationalisation

To develop the University internationally we will:

  • do high quality, ground-breaking research that will have an impact on thinkers, policymakers, and business leaders world-wide
  • develop programmes that prepare students to succeed in the modern global economy
  • create opportunities for international exchange with high quality institutions, for both students and academic staff
  • promote and publicise our strengths on the international stage

By doing so, we aim to be an institution which teachers, researchers and intellectuals worldwide wish to be employed by or engage with, and which students from overseas naturally turn to when considering studying in the UK.

Our achievements

We have doubled participation in Study Abroad among our students (image of Study Abroad Fair).

New pump-priming funds have facilitated over 50 research visits to countries including South Africa, South Korea, India and the US (image of Artemisia growing in the Centre for Novel Agricultural Products, in partnership with East-West Seed Group for the production of Artemisinin Combination Therapies, the World Health Organisation recommended treatment for malaria).
