**Students looking for September to September Lets**

Properties currently being advertised on the private sector list are mostly for tenancies which start in July

From June/July onwards, landlords will start to advertise properties on the private sector list that have tenancies commencing in September. 

There is a good supply of private sector shared student houses in York.

Accommodation Services advertises property on our Private Sector List that complies with our Code of Best Practice (PDF , 1,029kb)  scheme.

The purpose of the scheme is to ensure that you have access to a supply of safe, well managed accommodation.

Rents on our list vary from £55 up to as much as £90 per week but the majority are between £65-£75 per week plus bills (estimated at £12.50 per week)

Rent is usually paid for 50-52 weeks of the year.
